KIT GLASS AND SNAP IN GLASS |

TRADITIONALLY GLASS "KITS" HAVE BEEN USED IN METAL AND FIBERGLASS DOORS TO HOLD THE GLASS IN. THERE IS A RAISED MOULDING AROUND THE GLASS THAT THE SCREWS GO THROUGH TO HOLD THE BACK OR OUTSIDE OF THE GLASS TIGHT TO THE INSIDE WHERE THE SCREWS ARE. PLUGS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE SCREW HOLES OR THEY CAN BE FILLED AND PAINTED OVER. SNEEKY LITTLE TRICK IS THAT METAL OR FIBERGLASS DOORS CAN BE CUT OUT AND A LITE KIT INSTALLED.
SNAP IN GLASS KITS OR (FLUSH GLAZED) DOORS AS SHOWN HAVE A GLASS STOP THAT IS PRESSURE FIT INTO THE DOOR RIM AND THEY DO NOT REQUIRE SCREWS AND THEY LAY FLAT AGAINST THE SURFACE OF THE DOOR. THIS STYLE IS PREFERRED BY MOST DESIGNERS.
THE OTHER OPTION IS THE "TRUE FLUSH GLAZED" OPTION PICTURED IN THE POP UP IF YOU CLICK ON THE PICTURE. THEY LOOK PRETTY MUCH EXACTLY LIKE WOOD DOORS AND ARE A SMALL PREMIUM OVER FLUSH GLAZED.
